Like the diagnal lines and how the focus fades at just the right place. However the large dark area in the circle while it may be unavoidable is a bit disconcerting to me. I'm not sure how I'd fix it either. |

I can and have done worse than this for a low effort find. It didn't work for me, probably won't for you. We both need to put more effort into finding good subjects. |

I have seen a bunch of guitar shots in the past few challenges ... I think the dramatic use of lighting was better in a number of them |

Sorry about my glib comment earlier. Seriously, this is a decent photo with a decent composition. The depth of field does seem shallow for my tastes, though. In many instances, shallow depth of field works well, but in this case I think a deep depth of field would be better. Also, I think I would like to see the black background eliminated (i.e. crop in tighter so that we only see guitar). |
