 The Halford Special, built by Major Frank Bernard Halford in 1925. 6-cylinder 1.5 litre racing engine fitted to an Aston Martin. The car was initially known as an Aston-Martin-Halford but was soon called simply the Halford Special.
The car won the 1925 200 Mile Race and several races at Brooklands in 1926. Halford had reached fourth position in the 1926 British Grand Prix before being forced to retire.
The car now resides at brooklands motor museum in South of England, UK.
I took this shot while at the museum on the weekend.

Nice detail Andy, especially the knurling on the cap. Also, I like the bendy reflections on the shiny chrome. Nice image.

the name is off center from frame. was there a reason.
