Was very nervous standing amoungst a bunch of wasps even though a sand wasp is tamer then a normal wasp. They still have a nasty sting.

I caught this one brining home some lunch for its larvae.

Great potential. What keeps me from voting high is the subject is too small for the macro. Maybe a closer crop would have helped. 5

What a capture! I've never seen anything like this before. Unfortunately, the texture and the color of the sand fight with my attention on the subject.

Nice colors. Good capture and nicely focused. Interesting perspective in a challenge full of simular subjects.

I think seeing more of the color in the sand might have improved this.

"Taken" means having already done the taking. "Takin' " is the short form of TAKING as in" takin' home the bacon". Unless you meant a play on words you should use spell check or grammar check. I know this is harsh and I haven't even gotten to the photo.

The legs are out of focus and I understand this is a difficult shot to take.

A moment before would have been more informative. Here it's hard to catch what's exactly going on (for a lay person).
