Wow -- that's a very nice contrast between the lighthouse and that huge bridge and power lines. This shot grabbed my attention immediately! Unfortunately, all those towery things also make the picture a bit busy -- my eyes just keep going over the thing in search of a place to, you know, rest. =]

Geez that sucks ... (not the photo, but the uggly steel crap they built around the lighthouse)... i could imagine it being all by itself.

It is sad that they built up around that lighthouse. I suppose they had to, but still. This picture really protrays the challenge subject of obsolete. Technically, the only thing that I don't like is how more than half of the lighthouse is in shadow. Perhaps taking this more in the middle of day would have worked better.
