| Excellent use of dramatic lighting . I understand the rule of thirds but, to me is there is too much negative space that detracts from your subject it steals from the picture rather than adding to it. |

| Oh I loved these things when I was kid! In 3rd grade we were given these (plastic ones) and learned how to play them! |

A lovely soft-focus entry with a warm feel to it. There are two things I feel would make this shot better though. The colour of the surface the recorder is standing on doesn't complement the colour of the recorder - it would have been nice if it was a similar brown colour. The other point is that the dark/black areas don't seem dark enough to me. Making these areas darker would make the subject stand out just that little bit more.
But these are only minor issues in what is otherwise an outstanding entry. Well done! |

| I like the soft focus and the lighting, but I don't think you can really consider a recorder to be obsolete. It still performs its function - to make music. |

| I think this is a good picture, I just think it is a little too soft for me. imo I like the way you have the light hit it though. |

| This picture is well done. I like the lighting effect. Is it just me, or is it leaning to the right? Don't they still use recorders to introduce musical instruments in school? 8 |
