these are real(authentic) arrowheads found in a garden. arrowheads are shown with a(authentic) grinding stone. not sure if this is an actual pistol or the one that goes to this grinding stone but it was found right with the stone and seems to fit.

I love your grinding stone and points. Thought I had a unique idea, since these things are hard to find intact. Seems like there were a few of us who appreciate these objects. Looks like we both learned a lot. Thank goodness for the great people who take time to comment.
Cheers,
Roxanne

Nice idea. I thought of doing something like this as well

Looks like you staged this outside so the lack of good lighting isn't as big a deal but, to me if you are going to stage a shot then you need to STAGE the shot ... bring in additional lighting a macro shot of one arrowhead with a light source on the side would have made for a much more effective shot.

I like this concept & composition, and the arrowheads certainly are obsolete. Good take on the challenge topic!

I find the top right and bottom left corners distracting. I guess it wasn't possible to get the stone mortor to completely fill the frame? Two of the black arrowheads seem to lose a lot of detail in the image; only the top left non-black one seems to have the detail & clarity that I would have like to have seen from them all. Perhaps if the center of focus were the center of the bowl, and there was a litttle more depth of field this would have received a much higher score.

Good: Idea, milestone adds to the idea.
Bad: Composition, solid shadows, noise.
Ok shot

The photo is overall too grainy and there are unsightly shadows under each item..

Very good. I had this kind of idea but went for another subject. Leaving the arrowheads out may have been equally powerful.

oooo. an out of focus pic of a museum exhibit. not sharp, not well lit. the black bit in the upper right is there for what reason?

I really like the subject matter in this shot. The lighting seemd a little to dark to me, and keeps ithe arrowheads from popping, especially at the corners.

I love Native american things. Great picture of a forgotten way of life.
