Gudday Matt. Sorry but you're going to have to live with my critique on your pic now so brace yourself.
This is a very good photo, the quality of which I would expect from you. It did well in the challenge, 28th place out of 248 entries is something to be proud of considering the amount of choice entries in the transportation challenge. Congratulations!
The heavy flourescent lighting effect which is invariably caused from shooting at long shutter speeds at night has created a fantastic effect. The shutter speed you chose, 13 seconds was the maximum you could have used, maybe 11 or 12 would have been better as you can see the lighting just starting to blow out on the driver's door. (whoops, you're in Britain, I mean the passenger's door then!)
The raindrops only add to the effect, even though they give the impression(as Jacko commented) of sandpaper. The color mix is what really works here, the yellows and the blues together make this image pleasant to look at. The windscreen being the same color as the sky fits in well.
I find the composition/cropping ideal, I don't think changing anything there would have had much more effect. Maybe including the full headlight might have done something, but my opinion it is a top shot just as it is.

It was interesting seeing the reaction to the colours in this photo. I wonder how many people thought they were done in post-processing and gave me a lower score because of it?
Would the picture have scored higher if they knew this is what the original looked like? Not much difference. The blue and magenta have been brought out more, but that's it. |

| powerful image, graphic and strong. Thw water drops, however, are not exaggerated nor complimented by the technique. They look more like sand on the surface. |

| The colors are a little too funky for me in this pic. The color of the car is pretty good, but the sky is just really strange. It looks purple and pink to me. But good pic of the car. |

| wonderfull colours. the gold contrasts well with the purople sky. Some don't like this kind of photoshoping but I do. only problem in the rain on the car ... looks like sand paper. Good luck. Jacko. 8 |

| Fantastic shot. I know it will do well. Colors are great, and the wet ness of the car and road adds a lot of texture to the photo. Also I guess helpds pick up on the reflection from the sun. I expect this photo will do very well. |
