Hello from the Critique Club!!!
Composition:
The composition of this shot is nice. I like that the subject "the moody fork" is not centered.
Background/ Foreground
I like the gray background on the left but the it appears a tad blown out on the right. Still over all does not distract from the fork.
There does appear to be a smudge on the lower right.
Camera Work:
Focus is great. Lighting works. I would love to see some of the outtakes because I think other angles would be interesting.
It is very hard to shoot metal with out getting glare and you only have a very small amount on the edge of the fork.
I have invested in a soft box and that really makes a difference when shooting reflective ojects.
You do amazing work with your Kodak camera. I can only imagine what you could do with a Nikon or a Cannon. (I have to be fair, even if I love my Nikon)
Post-Processing:
I can not comment on your post-processing because you did not include it in the comment field. Including this information helps us see what you have done, and can help teach other users how to use post processing to improve their pictures.
My Opinion:
I love shots that give some insight to the photographer and you have a wonderful sense of humor. You take pictures that please you and that is what will set you apart from other photographers. In looking at your other pictues I really like that your children are a part of your art, and seem to enjoy it with you. Even if you cover their face in sugar. =)
You have a natural eye so keep shooting and sharing your work with us.
I hope you find these comments to be helpful, thank you for allowing me to critique your picture. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact me via PM.
Best of luck in your future photographic endeavors,
Regards,
Karen Doss

Don't see how it applies to the subject. Nice creative shot ... using a mirror and another light might have given you a better overall shot. |

I gave this a ten and added it to my favorites. I love the tile and the photo, it all fits perfectly together, I think it's so funny! I'm actually sitting here moving my fingers and yep, that's what it looks like! The lower right hand corner has a smudge? Theres a spot right above the fork, it's still getting a ten from me. Good LUck! |

Cool idea. If i were to nitpick, I'd say I see a lot of artifacts and spots in the background. |
