 Once upon a time Ankara acquired its gas by extraction from coal. This is the plant that used to do the extracting. Now gas is imported from Russia via a huge pipeline. That change rendered the plant obsolete.

As Springsteen sang in My Hometown: "Foreman says these jobs are going boys and they ain’t coming back to your hometown..."

Now the gas plant just sits there silent, motionless and prey to the elements. I love it and hope it is a long time before developers decide to tear it down.

the building that is visible beyond the old one takes away from the picture, there is a bit too much sky. The lighting is good on the primary subject.

I really like this a lot. It's a very well-done photograph -- very pretty sunset, great depth of field, and the color tones look so. . .well. . . .old and obsolete :) Gret job. One of my favorites so far.
