 Lighthouse at Cape Trafalgar. Legend has it that there used to be a Roman temple dedicated to the goddess Hera at this location. In the 9th century, Arabs built a tower called The Tower of Trafalgar, of which only some remains can be found today at the base of the modern lighthouse. This is also where Nelson and Napoleon fought the famous naval battle of Trafalgar.

Focal length 18 mm. Cokin circular polarizer, 1-stop and 3-stop neutral density filters. Aperture priority, matrix metering, +1.3EV exposure compensation, tripod, remote control.

Post processing with Photoshop 7: Some cloning to clean up imperfections such as sensor dust and a pesky post behind the lighthouse, curves, little bit of NeatImage, USM

Beautiful lines, great colours,,don't really like the softened ocean but that is just my personal preference, will stil score high as composition is wonderful.

Great composition, I really like the way that lines include the footprints, water's edge,clouds and tideline. The lines all lead to the lighthouse, which stands out well as a point of interest.

Great colors!!! But what is that pink line at the borders of the sand and the rocks?

Very majestic. Love the muted colors and composition. The footprints in the sand add a nice touch. One of my favorites for this challenge. Good Luck 10

nice drama here. i like the smoothness overall. but the white dots on the foreground give pause for me, and i think is against the image's overall grain. 8
