This rainbow and about the other 8-10 that I saw that day capped off a day of wonder I have have never experienced. It was amazing. Anyway, as you might suspect, Treasure Hunters is in relation to the "pot of gold" at the end of the rainbow, and the cars following the perfect correspondence of road and rainbow. I hope people like this and feel the wonder even if the voters tear it apart.

Nice composition. The lines leading to the "pot of gold" were well used. However, the purple tint that was added in the sky is a bit much, and you could have used a bit more care in where you applied it (purple edges on the trees).

OMG what a sky... great capture... 9

Interesting composition! I would love to see the original though. Your treatment here looks very unnatural. Your sky doesn't match the lighting of the rest of the image and I don't recall ever seeing a pickled beet red sky before...

some really strange colour you got in the skies over there. I'm more used to the sky being blue or overcast (or both)

just my personal tastes but i think this is too wierd and overdone.

Bit too strong colors for my taste, and the halo/color cast around the trees in the left part does a lot of damage to the complete image. I love the rainbow and the colors there though, and the car/road is in lovely detail/color. 6

I think that the roadside on the left of the frame draws the eye away from the rest of the frame. Perhaps it could be darkened somewhat.

Wow, you really played with the color of the sky. The edge of the trees are not supposed to be pink, and the blue behind the trees would be pink as well. Cool capture, but the editting, well, makes it more interesing to look at, yes, but doesn't seem real.

the processing of the sky makes the trees look icky to me.

That's a seriously demented sky....

INteresting image, but why make the sky Purple? Also there is some overlap of the colors in tree branchs on the left.

Normally with a photo with this much saturation and overpowering color I'd be put off, but here it works quite well. Beautifully lit and beautifully composed.

Fabulous sky, even if it did come out of a software box. For me, this is one of the best images in the challenge. Firstly, it MET the challenge, and secondly it was appealing and well executed. Good luck inthe voting.

wow. Just wonder how much was like you shot it, and how much is enhanced. Would make the difference for me.

Very interesting photo. The rainbow against the unusually dark sky is a stricking contrast. Really nice shot. Good luck.

Did you edit the sky to be purple or was it like that? Sorry, dumb question, I don't think I like this shot very much.
06/27/2005 02:17:36 PM
I'm not sure I would've changed the original colours for the sky and rainbow. Great lines though!

I love the clarity of the road, cars, trees, and bridge on the bottom, and I like the fact that the sky is mostly dark. However, the pink/purple tint to the sky is really unappealing. Probably just me ...

I like the rainbow but the intensity is just too much. I don't mean to nit pick but maybe if it were a subtle blue instead if a magenta/purple it would read better,

colors do not look natural, kind of distracting. (red dead trees?)

Beautiful processing. Might be too severe for most voters, but this is nice. 8
