Thanks everyone for the great comments. Yes it was a set up shot in the garden. It was a slightly windy day and the fern kept moving in the wind plus the damn snail kept jumping off the fern.

Got him in the end though.

Once again many thanks for all the comments

Congratulations on your top-twenty finish. This should've placed higher.

How long did you have crawl around ferns to find this? LOL 9

best composition in this challenge. like the border you added, for once it is a purposeful border, most are not.

Well done. Simple and effective. Great isolation from the background.

Nicely done. I followed these lines and was pleasantly surprised to find something at the end other than the end of the leaf. Beautiful image and nice title

I like the lines of the fern leading to the snail, but the snail does not look as sharp as it possibly could and some of the top of the frond looks to be a little harshly lit.

Great momment here but i would have cropped it littel bit diffrent. Have the snail more on the left side and take littel bit more of the topp of the photo. But that´s a personal taste thing! Than i can see purpel color on the snail that shoudn´t be there:( (but i´m not giving you a lower score for that because that could be my monitor!)

Very good! I love it that there is a 'reward' at the end after following the leading line. Also, isolation of subjects from the background is gorgeous. A winner in my book. 10.

Finally a photo with the lines leading to a main subject!
Color, sharpness, bokeh, composition. All very nice!

Outstanding use of leading lines. I wish the snail was a bit more in focus. Beautiful composition. The lighting might be a little bright on the snail as well, but really a nice piece of work. 8

Great shot and one of my favorites in the challenge. Only thing that I can see wrong with it is that water or slime or something in between the 2nd and 3rd leaf on the right.

This is such a great leading lines photo. I didn't see the snail in the thumbnail, and thought the photo was just of the fern leaf -- and thought even that looked great -- but seeing how the lines of the fern leaf lead down to the snail makes it even more perfect. I love the perfect depth of field and the colors too. Great job.
