A lovely picture. The boy and mother have the same eyes. I notice some comments about the fact that the boy seems heavy, mother seems tense. I liked that effect. The rather wary look in both of their eyes, combined with how they are holding each other gives a powerful emotional undercurrent to what would otherwise be just another family picture. |

I like this snapshot, technical is really well done, good contrast and brightness, focus is right on, but it is still a snapshot. |

Your lighting on the faces is perfect. Did you use fill flash? |

Well controlled, attractive black and white. I might have cropped tighter though, I think the most interesting part is his hands around her nack. |

lovely portrait. Very well composed. The only thing is that mum and her son seem just slightly tense |

Good photo, sharp focus, but skin tone needs a little more contrast. Was this horrible in color? Photo 9 Creativity 7 People 9 total 8 (I was very tempted to score down for lack of color, but didn't) |

Nice looking pair, I really like the "thoughtful" look on the boy's face. If the colors of the shirts matched, this would be a nice shot in color, too, I think. |

Nice clean shot. Good job. |

Good shot, though I would have prefered color myself for this one (unless the shirt really dominated). Well above agerage. |

Excellent focus. Is that a "blue Steel" look? |

Very nice portrait! The composition is excellent and the lighting is nice and even trhoughout the photo. I think the only element of this shot that could be better, in my opinion, is the depth of field. I prefer a more shallow depth of field in a shot like this to further blur out the background. When I make photos like this, I usually back away from the subject and use my zoom to help enhance this effect... nice job! = 9 |

interesting portrait attempt, but she doesn't look very comfortable/ happy. Maybe would have worked better if they were looking at each other/ interacting more, rather than looking straight into the camera ? |

Very good shot. Good choice of b&w as well. The boy's shirt looks as if it is quite colorful and I think that would've been distracting. |

They are both beautiful subjects. It seems kind of strained, though, because mom has to support the weight of child, and he's hanging onto her, too. I think maybe sitting would have been more relaxed and a bit more tender. It just seems like the child is beginning to feel heavy. |
