Gave you an 8 Papa. This picture coupled with the title made me chuckle. Always a good start. Great concept, great composition, clever use of the theme, appropriate dop coupled with an interseting scene. I am not sure how i feel about the sepia. I think i would have liked the touch of green from the trees. Could have used a tiny bit more tinkering with curves to tone down some of the white spots. One of my favourites in this challenge. |

unique shot. I like the color treatment and DOF (not too shallow). |

I get the idea, however, I don't see any texture or detail to the nail. It is to be the subject of the picture based on the exposure but most of it is just a black shape. |

Good title and image pair. It might be stronger if it was 75% as high - keep all the bottom but crop 25% off the top. |

This just doesn't scream "metal" to me, but still nice. The path looks a little overexposed too. |

I think this does not fit the challenge very much. Metal is not the primary subject. |

Ooh how lovely! I love the ambience (for lack of a better word) of this image. I like the way this conveys stories of abandoned lives and nature taking back what man once took from it. I like the composition - the nail off-centred, the diagonals of the wood leading backwards in a line towards the verticals of the forest tree trunks and the light - lovely light. Shame about the touch of blowout where the main area of light comes through the trees but... it doesnt hurt it too much. This is cool! |
