| I think adjusting the backdrop behind the buddha will help. Maybe one solid fabric as the patterns are distracting. |

| Metal... or wood? A nice detail and surely a fine memory from a holiday trip but the straight flash to the face of buddha distracts quite a lot. The picture would also have been better if the background would have been "smoothier". |

Fits challenge=0 -appears to be painted wood

DOF/focus=1/ -1=0
Wow factor/uniqueness=1
Attractiveness=0
It appears to be wood with maybe paint or guilding (right word?) added to it, the background is very distracting a better DOF would have helped a lot, your focus seems to be sharp. Over exposed spots on face and chest could be avoided with a diffuser of some sort, maybe just moving it to a different position or closing the blinds on the windows.

| my goal is to comment on every photo in this challenge..heres urs..good luck..too much going on in the BG and if one didnt know that are made of metal one would thik it was made of wood. dust is also a distraction |

| Could have been a really great shot, looks more like wood than metal, needs a better background, plain sheet or something, and the dirt cleaned off |

| looks more like wood ... lighting to bright .. I find a piece of white cloth in front of the flash helps aviod the bright spots ... my 2c worth ...good luck |
