Okay: this was a good concept because of the angle. A way to improve this image is to close down aperture two more stops, this will bring the shutter speed to about 1/45. You focus on the tip. Closing another notch making the speed 1/20 would deepen the dof even more. In other words, when you shoot at this angle the dof has to capture the front and back.

However, you have the idea and the vision. Just a little tweaking and the camera will respond.

The cropping was a little too tight, but a good idea! I really like the tones. Neatimage this with not so tight of a crop and it'd be fantastic.

A great angle with deadly authority. 6

Tilted horizon line, slightly out of focus. Color cast is effective.

I like the color tone of this shot, but feel the composition takes away from it. Would like to have seen more of the barrel, maybe?

Not a favorite object but useful I guess. You used a flash therefore the strong shadows and harsh light on front of gun, the crop is a little off as well imo, would have done better to leave more room on top and leave all of the object in view..

the clipping is too tight.

The lighting here is more like what you would expect in a catalogue of plumbing parts. I think the subject would have more emotional impact with darker, more dramtic lighting.

I like how the angle isn't quite cliche, and yet there is still a huge impact...although maybe if you included the edge of the gun it would have added a bit

This would be better if you couldn't see the line where the wall meets the table.

grainy and a funny crop. Graet grasp of the theme though.

Not a pretty subject. One might argue that guns are 'born to protect'. However, I'll try and put my views on guns aside and see the photo as a photo. There's a very distracting line at the top, and I'm not sure why the right side is clipped. The blue hue helps to bring out the coldness of the metal, but I feel that it's been overdone. Finally, the shadow under the object is not appealing. 4

Interesting perspective. I would remove the line at the top, it is not parallel to the border.

why did u cropped off the right? the horizon on the top of the photo is no good.

Cool blue cast to the photo...would have liked to see the barrel intact.

Nice shot. I like the tight cropping of the image, and the color. The horizon line throughs it off a little..

The line across the back ruins it and I think I would have cropped slightly differently
I do like lighting and feel.

I din't think the crop is really working in this image...the tip of the gun has been cut off and it looks like there was plenty of room on the surface for this not to happen.

Love it. I'd love it more if that horizontal line were gone.
