while I agree you really stretched to fit the challenge - this is a magnificent nature shot. I love the textures and color of the leaf. Wonderful macro work.

I didn't need to read your title to immediately enjoy this shot. I immediately thought that it looked like an alien terrain. Something you might see from a mile or so up. Then, I thought that it looked like alien skin. It could be so many things fit into a fantasy realm. I like to think this looks like the wing of a dragon! Nicely done.

I do like the border on this image, corresponds well to the photo. I'm thinking that this leaf was color shifted in PS. Details and sharpness are great. 6
