Interesting lighting with the spot on the head of the creature, but I think I would have wanted to see the tail with the stinger equally to the head |

Very cool lighting. This dude scares me. I like the texture and detail in the hairs. |

Reflections on the subject....is it real and alive??? |

I have a few criticisms of this pic:
1. It might have been nicer to get a shot of the animal in an environment at least similar to its natural habitat - this seems to be a table or floor.
2. The lighting is very harsh - clearly a lam,p held quite close to the subject.
3. I'm not keen on the thick border (this is more of a personal thing than a photography critique).
Having said that you've brought out the texture on the shell very well indeed. |

I'm not big on the lighting of this shot, although I can appreciate it was probably a tricky subject to light given the colour of it. I think no border or a thin border would have made the image seem less heavy. |

This creature looks dangerous! I think it's the only scorpion in the challenge, clever! The light gives it the impression the spotlight is on it. Scorpion dance on stage :-) |

The light source appears to have overexposed part of the picture while leaving some of the picture underexposed. Also, depth of field seems to be a little too shallow, the legs at the top of the picture and the tail (stinger?) are out of focus. |
