Yes, it's me....AGAIN. No, I'm not vain or anything, it's just that not that many models are willing to pose for a 14-year-old. Either way, I just know I'm gonna get chewed up over that over processed sky, but what can I say, it was cloudy.
As to whether it meets the challenge or not, I think it's definately more of a mood, rather than actual darkness. I hope I won't get chewed up for that too...

crop, contrast, sharpen, desaturate, soft focus,
border, save for web.

This really does sum up the mental chaos that loneliness can inspire.

Terrific image, you've clearly got some talent, so here's hoping you continue to put it to great use like this.

Ah, I love the busy, chaos of the weeds and the washed out color. I think to get rid of that sky you could just crop it and it would be pretty neat. It's almost like a painting, I love it. Thanks for sharing such a great pic.

I think you should have won a ribbon. I just loved this photo and to be 14 yrs old at that! :) I think that you could have a great career in photography in the future if you are interested. Keep up the good work. You have the eye for it.

While most your peers are primarily into clothing with merely an acquiesent nod to their environment, you are capturing and interpreting it with a camera in your hands. I bow to you, young lady, remembering the name Anna Holdhazy as belonging to one that will someday impact the photographic art community, if that is your deep desire.

I like your honesty and realistic entry to a challenge some tried to over-philosophize upon. Lonliness IS darkness ... of course ... so simple. I think you compromised to the "Ruler", because there might be a MacDonald's parking lot just out of sight off the right border. Centered would have worked well here. But, I believe you when you say she is alone. You have presented this so well with clarity and muted tones in a digital world where extreme saturation is sometimes equated with extreme satisfaction. One of my ten favorites from this week's challenge.

I like the photo... it would have been really cool if you could have taken the picture later in the day to reflect more of a visual darkness as it would play on the mental or psycological effects of darkness by being "alone".

Great coloration and detail in the grasses. I also like how the subject has a soft glowing effect.

One of the few that actually met the challenge....I really like the semi-desaturatedness :) IMO a ribboner

I really like this photo, but the bright sky at the top of the picture takes away from the image. Cropping it to just the field would have had more impact for me

I definitely get a dark, isolated, scary feeling from this image. It might have been nice to have a touch more of sky. The girl's pose is all right, but something about her looks very skeletal and scarier than I like.

Well, done! This really has a dark feeling to it. I like the muted tones and the girl is absolutely essential. I would have never seen this location and thought to do what you did. ...Tough call for me, but this is top 5 material.

Lovely shot depicting deep dark feelings. I feel that it would have been a stronger composition with the bright sky cropped out - but a gorgeous image none-the-less. Well done!

You could crop at least half of the space between top and girl to get a more intense picture?

This is a wonderful fit to this challenge- it spurs an emotion of withdraw and self distress, and I love the shadowed eyes. Top marks!
