Darker would be more in line with the object.

Sunsets are the gateway to darkness so fit this callenge topic well and in an understandable way. Good capture of horizon lighting with sun below horizon. It is often hard to get that lighting right and retain decent lighting and detail at the top of the frame but you have done that well. Good use of the rule of thirds. The only defect is the haloing along the horizon edge. It could be removed with cloning.

Really pretty depth of color. Love the deep cerulean blue of the upper sky. The backlit clouds are very cool. Nice shot!
