the stem seems oddly cropped by the dark. other than that really nice.

Pretty image. I like how the stem disappears into the black. For me despite the implication that the dandelion is dying this image does not really bring to mind darkness.

i would have preferred to see the stem go to the edge of the picture or not see it all. i love the flower. although, this screams "black and white" and not so much, 'darkness' to me.

This is a nice picture, but the white around the edges looks to be a little blown out. Also it doesn't really look dead or almost dead, but to the contrary looks very lively and beautiful. Great capture of a dandelion, though- I like how the stem fades into the black.
