The negative space here is great. All one color. I love the expression of the bird, kind of like "What do you thjink you're doing?" Flabbergasted works well here for the title. This is a nice sharp photo, but the lighting really needs help, though out of your control... |

great capture... and the washed sky actually works well here, creating some good negative space.. a little contrast might even help define the bird a touch more |

Great expression and looks pretty sharp. Would have been nice if the sky were a bluer shade though. |

the background is a bit too grey, but I love the perspective on this, and the bird is in good focus. |

Have the makings of a great photo here. With some editing, I think it can be enhanced...try one or several of the following: 1) Levels adjustment: Move left and right siders to the edges of the histogram to improve overall contrast 2) Selective Color adjustment: Under the "Whites" option, move the black slider to the left to your liking, if any. 3) Crop: I find taking out some negative space improves compo. -> Top and bottom for a panoramic shot, or all areas around bird except for a little space... Give these a try if you like...
Excellent capture! |

Fabulous capture.
Love the position of the legs and the way it's lokking at you, kinda like it's stopped midflight to check out what you're doing. Would be worth trying to brighten it up to see how that looks. Great shot, well done. |

Great title. This is quite an extraordinary shot to look at - if it wasn't for the border you'd never notice the edge of it, for a start. It looks like you cut out a pic of a seagull and pasted it onto the page. Quite remarkable photo.
On a more objective viewpoint, the focus is excellent and the expression on the face superb. One of the best photos this week. |

Great focus, nice capture of animal expression. I just wish the background wasn't quite so white, the only part that that is distracting is right around his head and the right side of his neck. |

wow - that grey is almost the same colour as dpc bacjgound! God stop of the gull, just seems to be something missing, photographically. Perhaps the composition is too centred |

Great capture! I bet it took you a lot of shots to get such a good one as this right? You froze him so well it doesn't even look like he is flying, everything is so sharp and focused. You can be proud of this image. |

Wow this is great. What's really great about this shot is the white. I don't know what you did (if anything) to the colors/cast but it's great. And the look of the seagull is priceless. 8. |

Now, how did you get this bird to pose so well for you and look right at the camera. Except maybe for the wing tips, I see no blurriness from action or movement. It's like he just hung there still as can be for you to take this shot. Excellent capture. I honestly can't find anything to complain about. Good luck in the challenge. |
