| I'm very happy this won; I love those birds, and I love the pure, intricate detail of this shot. Add in that there's something startlingly human about this bird's "expression", and you managed to capture the hearts of the voters with a very simple, disarmingly simple, image. Congrats! |

I've been waiting for that ribbon for a long time :)
I knew after 50 votes I was gonna be in top 10 (with 7.4+) so this week has been really exiting for me, esp since I went away for 3 days and had next to no internet connection.
I'm now working on a print, I was in a hurry when I edited this one and forgot to save it before I downsized it and for some strange reason I can't get the same wonderful sharpness now. But don't worry, print will be here very soon.
Outtakes are in the editing room as well, will post 'em soon. |

I knew this would ribbon. This is an awesome photo! Love the details and tight crop....i don't mind that the top is cut off a little...it's still a great photo!! Congratulations on a getting a ribbon and thank you for sharing a great photo! :)
wanted to add one more thing!! Hope you make this available for Print...because I think you could do really well with this!

| Just wonderful sharpness and detail and colour too. Absolutely wonderful. Unfortunately, with such a tight crop, the loss of the top of his head has more of an impact than it might otherwise and weakens the composition considerably. Still one of my top 3 in this challenge though! 9 |
