Taken late evening at widewater lagoon. This is one of about 100 shots i took. The water from the swans mouth looks a bit odd because of a piece reed stuck on her lower beak.

What's wrong with a drooling swan ? *L*
That's a killer shot.
How on earth did you get a 1/640 speed at ISO 200 with that lense !!!
I have the same lense on my 20D , and it's amazing but it doesnt seem to take in that much light ?
Again , an amazing shot.
Congrats.

I don't like this. It looks like the swan is drooling. Not a flattering portrait of such a graceful animal.

Amazing shot. Just curious how many shots in the sequence you took or was this a single take. You have my vote hands down. Not to say anything bad about the others they are all very impressive. Just something about this shot captivates me personally.

you captured a lovely moment of mum and her babies so well done for that ! I find the blurriness of the background distracting though and the lighting not quite right, mum is a little dark.

Lovely lighting though the red is a touch too red for me, even though it's likely realistic rendition of late evening light. A little more detail in face of parent swan would help too. 6

I think this is an excellent shot. I like the lighting and detail. Only draw back is the water catured in the swans beak. I find it very unatural and distracting.

Lovely capture, especially the backlighting on the ducklings. I'm not sure if the falling water adds to the picture or not, but it's certainly captured well.

Not sure about the water from Momma's mouth. Looks a little bizarre. The sun reflections on the water are a little too strong (hot). The rest of the photo is great. Love the colors, focus, and dof. Excellent work

This REALLY is one of my favorites!!! I fact. . . .I'm going to pick it as one of my favorites. I love ducks anyway, but your lighting, your tones, and then the dripping of the water off your perfectly focused ducks makes this an aMAZING shot!!! I would be delighted if this was in the winners circle on Monday morning!!!
