Beautiful capture with great focus, but the composition lacks balance. Try cropping off the top half to just above the head.

I like your picture because it is nature, are at least looks that way to me. I wish the DOF would of been large having the complete bird sharp as his head. I feel the crop or if not cropped the picture it self should of included the tail of the bird. Lighting good and focus great along with good detail. 7

Nice detail in the feathers and eye. Nice lighting too. Not overly keen on composition or background or lost tail feathers. 7

Wow, how did you get him to stand still :) They seem to just fly away from me. Great shot. Focus is good, color is good. Good luck.

although your depthof field id in my opinion too narrow the lovely portrait has made up for it 10
