I shot this on macro with the internal flash covered by a kleenex.

Greetings from the Critique Club :)

Hi Brentg3...

This is an interesting looking bug for sure... The 'documentary' style shot looks ok. I could imagine seeing a photo similar to this in an insect book of some sort.

The photo meets the challenge, but there doesn't seem to be anything extremely inspiring about the image.

Kia Ora, I thought that was a weta. I was always so scared of those things, yuk!

You captured some magnificent detail there.

Now *that's* a cricket. What a monster. Nice catch. What is it and where do you get them?

Looks like a cross between a cricket and a ant. Good shot!

the two-toned background distracts from the subject of your image, nice focus and dof. i would like to have seen all of the antennas.

Eurgh. I've never seen one of these before and i hope this is the closest I ever have to come to one. Gruesome.

Great focus though; the shell has a real texture to it that I like.

Clear and in focus. The detail of the insect has come out well.
