I'm sure people have mentioned the camera glare...
The light seems to be too bright to convey the notion of "dying"...
otherwise, an interesting shot. I like the eyes

What exactly is that green on the side of the head? Maybe a lens flare?

Without the flaring and with slightly better lighting this image could definitely be a ribbon contender. As it is, though, there's something missing from this otherwise excellent idea.

I'm scared! ;) Meets the challenge, but the lens flair is distracting. Also, cropping the right hand side would tighten up the composition. 5
