7. This is good one. But I wonder if it will manage to score. |

An interesting concept. The b/w treatment is ok. IMO, a shot like this, of a crowd or group of people, for it to work really well, something needs to grab the viewers attention, like one person doing something, or their appearance stands out, or one person looking other than where everyone elses attention is, or something like that. Or, also, to see what they are all looking at, to draw you in, feeling part of the crowd. Something along those lines. In this shot, I'm not feeling that. To me, the people all blend together, all part of the crowd, and it doesn't seem like they are all just looking at the light, so I can't see what they are looking at, so I don't feel a connection, I'm not feeling drawn into, or a part of the image. I feel that something to grab my interest like that would greatly strengthen this photo. |

The photo has a timeless, oldworld feeling. Nice exposure. It looks difficult with such a bright single light source. Plus it feels like it was taken while walking along with the crowd. Nicely done. |

This is a fascinating photograph. The "from behind" point-of-view and the fact that the people are all looking or moving toward the solitary light, gives this image a metaphoric dimension consistent with your chosen title as well as with the challenge topic. 8 |

Terrific image. Perfect as taken from behind with the bight light overhead. Great tones and a good full rnage from black to white. The forground guy that is out of focus is a little distracting but not that bad. Voters will easily see this as meeting the challenge. |

You have created a mood and a story very effectively here. I like the light in the distance, representative for me of the hope that these people have in their destination, leaving the darkness behind. Great photo. One of my tops. I do see some graininess in the forground head that I'm sure was unavoidable, but detracts a little in my opinion. But such is the reality of low light photos. Good work! |

This is the first 10 I've given so far for this challenge. I would be interested in knowing whether or not this was a planned shot, but either way it conveys "darkness" extremely well. Well done. |

Wow! This is a terrific shot, and perfect for the challenge. It evokes so many emotions (thanks for the clarity of the title - it really sets the whole image up!) Well done. |

I really am not sure what this is (I see the title), but it's pretty cool. There's a weird zombies at night kind of thing going for me, which may be the result of looking for the "darkness" in the shot. Well captured. |
