Camera, no camera, then camera - Hey - I can do this!

I had been looking for a night shot to come my way ever since getting the D600L, but everytime I was driving home from work, there were no night construction crews out - and they are always there along I15!
Monday night, I stayed real late finishing up a car, and on my way home, there it was - but the camera card was at home! (don't ask)
Drove home, got the card, drove back to the freeway and could not pull over on the right side where the work was going on and had to pull over on the center median.
Little traffic at 3AM, so I dash across the 4 lanes and sit on the barricade and took some shots, hand-held, no flash, and was back home by 3:30AM.

It's all in the name of photography right? RIGHT?

(I need to have my head examined...)

I like this image, but I hate the frame. Most times, the frames don't bother me, but on this image, it seems to make the image look not-real. Maybe because the background of the image is the same as the frame, and my expects to see somthing out there, and there is nothing. I love the image. Great lighting, wonderful warm colors, very nice composition, but the frame bothers me on this one. Sorry! <8>

Great colors, the lights are a bit burned but still it is a very clear picture.

Beautiful colors. They capture the equipment well and make it interesting to look at.
