Saw this young fellow just hanging out sizing up his competion during the Water Valley Rodeo just outside of Calgary. Thought it would make a great shot. Did not realize until after that it would make a good shot for "framed". Or at least I think so.

The desaturation works really well, I also like the pose, and the bars in front. The background is just a little sloppy with the shoulder and the horse, as well as all the trailers. I'm not sure if that could've been cleaned up though. 7

I like this photo a lot. The use of the "frame" in this is interesting. I can't decide how I feel about it. On one hand it seems to be framing the hand and belt buckle, which would make an interesting image all on their own, but I feel that in this case the face/hat is where the character is. On the other hand, I feel the shot would be much less interesting if it wasn't shot through the foreground gate. It gives it a more natural and candid feeling. Screw it. What the hell I'm I talking about. I'm giving it a 10 and adding it to my favorites. The more I look at it the more I love it.

The Sepia on this shot was very well utilized. You have captured his youth perfectly and the title just hits it home. I'll see you later.

blacks good, whites not pure, nice lines, meets criteria but the frame is on his torso the crop does not count, nice comp, nice dof, overall nice

what is the intended focal point of this photograph? I can't tell if it's his face, the straw, his hand, or the bull.

I really love the composition of this photo. It has such a realistic feeling to it, and yet it's so artistically done at the same time. A very emotive photo which really jumped out at me in this challenge. Well done.
