I love the baby's expression, but I wish the heads weren't cropped off.

Cutting off the woman's head actually helps focus attention to the baby's expression. Very clever
06/02/2002 07:48:00 AM
Funny shot I would of kept the peopls heads in the shot.
06/01/2002 10:08:00 PM
Nice shoot however the heads being cut out is too distracting
06/01/2002 06:11:00 PM
Funny!

Great expression on the baby's face. However, cropping the top of the left person's head off causes some of the impact to be lost. The busy background being blurry helps the viewer focus on the three people "in front."

Baby's not growing up in my neighborhood...

The rule of thirds says that those breasts in red is the subject of the photo. Without reading the title its hard to tell what the subject really is. Try to fill the frame with more of your subject. Its probably a bit awkward to try and take this photo.

Photos with heads cut in half are not the best. If you just wanted to concentrate on the baby, then maybe zooming in closer would have made a better photo.

This is only a snapshot, I feel that there was not much thought that went into this image.
05/30/2002 01:55:00 PM
cute, though i wish I could see more of the punky guy's face to see what the kid was looking at
05/29/2002 09:09:00 PM
that cant be good for the baby ;)

I Love the look on the baby's face, the ladies red shirt and the green in the boy shirt add a nice contrast. You must be a really exceptional photographer, and handsome too!
05/29/2002 02:03:00 PM
It would have been better with the camera shifted up to catch the faces of the other two people, nothing would have been lost at the bottom.
05/28/2002 07:18:00 PM
cute idea, I just can't really get into the chopping half of people's faces off. It bugs me! The dude's hair would have really made an impact into what baby was looking at, had it been left in the frame.
05/29/2002 10:18:00 AM
I know the baby was your subject, but you chopped off the object of his/her interest. Aim up a foot or two. (I wanted to stare at the mowhawk, too.)
Good focus, color. Swing up and move to your right just a hair (ha) and this would have been a 10. Very humorous!

You caught a great moment. Me and the babe make two--the very young and the old cannot help but wonder where he came from and why would he want to look like that.
05/28/2002 06:07:00 PM
i realize the baby is supposed to be the center attraction of the pic, but it would have been nice to not had the heads of the other two subjects cut off
05/28/2002 02:41:00 PM
I would have voted slightly higher (than the 6 I gave you) if the heads weren't cropped out. Nice idea for a pic though...
05/28/2002 01:29:00 PM
Try to never have headless people!
05/28/2002 11:51:00 AM
Great title for the expression. In my top 10.
05/28/2002 10:58:00 AM
Cute subject, but I think that being chopped at the knees and at the heads creates unecessary tension. Also might try a wide open aperture to blur the distractive background. Here's my thought FWIW :-) It might have worked better to get higher, back furthar, more behind the man, and inline with the baby at an angle looking downward and using a telephoto to compress the distance between the man and the baby.
05/28/2002 08:34:00 AM
I really dont like the heads cut off people in photographs. Just my preference.
05/28/2002 06:37:00 AM
Baby, we're ALL saying that! :) would have like to see their whole heads :(, but good capture none the less!
05/27/2002 07:05:00 PM
It doesn't actually seem as though the baby is looking at the punk, so your title, which is the kind of thing you'd see in a speech bubble on a fridge magnet holding this photo to the fridge door, doesn't quite work for me. The photo is nice.
05/27/2002 06:44:00 PM
Good picture, but the cropping is disturbing. Focus is neither on the adults or the baby. No place for the eye to rest.
05/27/2002 05:26:00 PM
It would be better if people can see the entire look of that person.
05/27/2002 03:15:00 PM
nicely caught. perfectly framed (cutting off the other two people's heads) and including just the baby's expression.
05/27/2002 02:41:00 PM
Interesting perspective. Good juxtoposition.
05/27/2002 01:56:00 PM
lol cute title. Sorry ya cut the womans head off. Great photo, clear, clean.
05/27/2002 11:07:00 AM
Interesting photo. I can't tell whether I would have liked it better without the heads cropped out???
05/27/2002 10:12:00 AM
Great expression from the baby
05/27/2002 08:47:00 AM
Great expression on the baby---but too many other distractions.
05/27/2002 05:14:00 AM
Funny.
05/26/2002 09:51:00 PM
Neither have I LOL I'm wondering now if that's *daddy* I wish the top wasn't cut off. Still a good photo.
05/26/2002 08:54:00 PM
This would be a REALLY great photo if the heads weren't cut off of the people... the expression on this baby's face is great!!!
05/27/2002 07:37:00 AM
haha funny
05/27/2002 06:20:00 AM
Too funny!! This candid snap is awesome! I like how you cropped Mom's face. If only the crowd wasn't so distracting.....
05/27/2002 06:02:00 AM
heads fragmented
