This looks so fake, but the cute little guy is really sitting in a field of daisies and not in front of a backdrop!

Above all else, the eyes must be in focus.

It is hard to give a middling score to someone's precious child, but in my opinion this photo is ok but not great. The meadow is very pretty and the child is very endearing, but the two just don't go together for me. It looks like the image was taken infront of a screen of some sort, the two aspects of the image just don't blend well to me. If the child was holding a flower or interacting with the meadow in some way it would work better. 5

How can anything compete against the young and innocent were beauty just runneth over. Great capture.

A charming child - such warm eyes! While the flash and narrow depth of focus serve to make the face stand out from the background, the drastic difference in the quality, color and direction of the light in the foreground and background clash in a way I find distracting. Using natural light (it looks like bright day) or a flash that isn't so close to your subject would be better.

Not a great shot, with the flash direcly in front of the baby's face. This image looks very much like it was taken against a backdrop as well. I'm guessing, this image will not do so well in this challenge due to the lack of technical work. <5>

What an adorable little boy! This is a very nice image though I wish his hand was not up by his ear, otherwise very nice.
