Actually for anyone who is interested, this photo was actually taken inside my house at my dining room studio, the blue behind the sunflower is a piece of blue construction paper, I was curious to see if anyone would notice, I don't believe anyone did. |

I like the subject and the composition, but the colors aren't popping the way I would expect in this type of shot. 5 |

cute...i've seen this type of photo so many times (sunflower composed like the sun on a horizon with the blue sky background) but i can't let familiarity take away from the beauty here.
i'm not sure if it was intentional, but this photo has a very 'soft' feel to it. the beautiful texture from the centre of the flower is missing, the focus seems soft on the petals and the sky is a subdued blue...none of this is bad, it brings a slightly different element to it than the other versions of this shot that i've seen. i'll assume that this was done on purpose and vote accordingly...nice work! |

Great colors. I love the contrast between the yellow and blue. I would like it a little sharper, but it looks like you were going for the softer look. One of my faves so far! :o) |

I like your idea and the composition. I like the yellow against the blue sky. What I don't like is the washed out, white haze. I just tried to fix it in photoshop - with a single click on Auto Levels, the whole photo improved dramatically! Try it! |
