 Chris and his wife Shanti own a gym near my house in Colombo. He graciously agreed to be a model in exchange for the right to use some of the shots in hiw website.

Shot indoors, in front of a blank wall next to a big window. Lighting courtesy of the afternoon sun.

Nice composition, pity his tatoo is in the shadow. I've always had problems taking darker toned people against light backgrounds, but then with your shutter speed I assume you used a tripod. Your use of the shadows really worked.

Very nice! I imagine him to be in a hip hop video or maybe rapping. LOL
I like the overall mood of the shot, he looks like he would rip your head off if you crossed him the wrong way :)

I am not very fond of the multiple shadows here.. a single light source would probably draw my attention more

Handsome. The shadow on the wall is distracting. Needs a bit of fill light on the right to compensate. Otherwise very nice.

Mmm.. beautiful indeed. Usually shadows bother me, but in this case I like them - they add some nice drama to the simple background. Lighting is great - again, I like the shadows and highlights. Expression is fantastic, pose is perfect, and the composition is very effective - 10!

Very pleasant to look at a handsome guy! I like the position of the model in the frame and the attitude he shows in his expression. Lighting is nice too, not hard, with good definition in shadows...8

Great pose and good lighting on your model. I'm sure women will have no difficulty seeing the beauty in this one. Hormones will surely be released. LOL. The wall shadows are distracting as well as the darkened area on the left side of the image. I'd recommend positioning your model several feet in front of your background in order to soften the shadows so they do not compete with the model for attention. Despite that this is one of the best images in the challenge.

I really liked this shot. I think you probably could have used a little less light from the left (and perhaps a soft light from the center or right), but the model is appealing, has an obvious attitude that is well captured, and the pose & cropping is good. Nice job. (7)
