 Looking due east at dusk on Lake Ellesmere (Waihora). The sunset behind be was stunning as well, but I wasn't there for the sunset..

I actually went down to get a moonrise photo over the lake, but the lake mist that creates the red glow hid the moon from view tonight. This shot is a great consolation prize though!

Shot handheld with +1.3 compenstation to move the histogram up a bit, as it was all bunched up in the middle. Still has a very low key feel IMHO.

I really like this photo, in full-size it's so peaceful you could almost sink into it. Not really sure it translates that well in the 640px format, but what the heck.

Not much happening in the sky to have it as such a large part of the image. Very beautiful scene though. 5
