I can see that it's sand, and I l ike the colors and composition, but don't really get a sense of "granular"...very soothing image.

That's a great concept but you missed it by inches. The focus should have been just a little further back on the line of foam, whereas you have it just in front of the foam. If it weren't for that, this would be a great shot.

If the focus were stronger here, I could give it 2-3 more points. I get what you're doing with DOF but there's just too much of the photo that is blurred for my eye to grab onto anyhing.

the warmth in the color this photo is very appealing

In these tones the sea & sand appear the same color, almost indiscernable except for having to look within the title.

Maybe with different toning it would appeal to me a little more.

Not enough contrast, the foreground is a bit dark, would have been really nice if you had focused a tad better towards the foreground and not so much towards the middle...

I think the sand should be a little sharper...my thoughts only
