 Using the Bathroom mirror as a base, a trio of tasty strawberries were laid on a bed of caster sugar.
This was taken in the garden so that a lovely blue sky with a few wispy clouds could be utilised to enhance the reflection, as I felt that red, white and blue would work well together.

I tried for two Granular Structures:
- Sugar and
- Strawberry carpels or true fruits, commonly called pips or seeds

I missed the two dots on the left untill it was too late to reshoot

Using Photoshop CS2

1. Unsharp Mask
2. Auto Colour
3. Hue/ Saturation played with Red, Blue and Greens to lift colours
4. Colour adjustments – slight adjustments to enhance red blue and greens
5. Shadow and Highlight to try ad get a little more differentiation with front Strawberry
6. Neat Image
7. Sized for DPC
8. Unsharp Mask
9. Added border

Bright, colorfull, and action packed photo. I do wish that a few more of the upper grains of sugar had been in better focus. But thats a small complaint considering the difficulty of the shot. Interesting choise of back grounds. The blue works well with me and the clouds reay add to the abtract look. very nice job 9

Heavenly, would make a good strawberry ad, if the strawberry industry even has that kind of capital..last i heard they fell with the .com companies.

Vibrant red strawberries makes me want to go out and buy some and dip them insugar just like the shot. Good photo.

Mmmmm strawberries & sugar. Too bad the challenge didn't include "whipped". Some whipped cream would've been lovely! :D

I don't like the blurry whit ein the background - cloud background? I'm not sure. I think it detracts from an otherwise very lovely shot.
