The beach sand here is called Coquina (after the colorful shells of the Coquina Clam that help comprise it). The wind and waves crush the seashells and fossils which combine with quartz crystals to form our golden beaches. I love to look closely and pick out the tiny shells, stones, shark's teeth and other fossils.

I took this picture in natural light, while holding a magnifying glass in front of the lense, on macro setting.

WOW girl the more I dig in to your portfolio the further I want to go. Im sooo glad Im making the time to browse through here as there are alot of stunning photos in here. Esp with the likes of this one WOW the colours, DOF and just wow I really like this one!
