This was one of my few 10s. A great entry for your first submission. Congratulations on doing so well but I think this shot deserved to place higher! Better luck next time...

This is an awesome shot I think because it has movement/action in it. A lot of the other ones are still life, yours is awesome, and I hope it makes it to at least the top 10!

Good effect. This is picky, but the thumb needs to be brought level with the rest of the hand to not make it look so massive. Good choice of background.

This is an INCREDIBLY cool idea... and you've executed it perfectly. The DOF is great, the detail on the granules is perfect and the lighting and composition is spot on... A 10 from me...good luck with your truly creative and original entry!

This would have been a cool shot even from the side, though showing what's going on is neat. I just find the face a bit distracting.

An interesting, but unnatural-looking shot. The constrast between the surreal sharpness of the grains and the blur of the face bothers me.
