Looks like something out of a Hitchcock movie- well composed, nice tones. And I love the choice of an old corded phone! The light makes me think of car headlights, which might be a little odd for this situation- unless perhaps we pull back and see him looking out a window? I would like to see just a tiny more detail in the right eye.

like the post and expression, as well as the hard lighting. Would like to see how it would look with the light coming from the left side of the camera, so that the shadowed part of the face was towards the camera, may have been more dramatic.

I love the character of this photo - it fits the guidelines well because it really is tough to imagine it without this specific light scheme. Good work.

Hi GF. My only suggestion would be to wear some cute jammies to match your title ;))
Nice textures, contrast, composition and negative space. I really appreciate and admire the lack of hot spots!

To me this is borderline on fitting the theme. All photographs are about light as is this one but I don't see that light is the subject of this photograph. I'm giving it a 6 anyhow because it is so good.

Wonderful light in this black and white. Love his expression. Could be an add for 'dial M for Murder' or something like that. Very good. Love this.

reminds me much of alfred hitchcock. lighting used to excellent effect, which of course means that it met the challenge well.
