Initial thoughts
Colourful, cluttered, strange lighting

Composition/ Content
I find the vertical sweet barrels at the top of the frame visually appealing – I’m interested in whether a shot comprising only these containers would be cleaner and appeal on a broader, abstract level.
The lower part of the image is very cluttered. I don’t know where to look – there doesn’t seem to be a point of focus. This also makes overall composition quite weak for me. Lighting is also poorer in the lower area where much of the produce seems to be in shadow.
The horizontal line between top and bottom parts of the image is a little too central for my tastes.

Camera Work - Technical
Lighting seems very yellow – I don’t know whether this could have been resolved by playing with white balance settings or by applying post processing to the image.

Digital Processing - Technical
Post processing might reduce the yellow tone of the lighting.

Fits The Challenge
Yep!

My Opinion On The Photo
Too cluttered. I think trying to include too much has weakened the composition and impact of this image. I̢۪d love to see a similar shot focusing on just the vertical containers or featuring a smaller and more artfully arranged selection of items from below.

I think I'd either get WAY back and shoot a vast expanse of candy, or else get in closer and concentrate on one or two of these elements (probably the cylinders). As it is, it looks a little cluttered.

too much going on here, also too much exposure

White balance seems off but I like the composition.

Wish I had a place like this in my neighborhood! Love the concept however I think there is something with the focus - i'm not quite sure but I think the left side is much more in focus than the right. Would love to see the whole photo in focus if it was possible. But i still think it was a good job and definately meets the challenge!!!

Too much warm lighting overall. Colour correction required.

Well composed. You might try adjusting for the lighing source so the color balance does not rob your subjects of their bright colors.

Very colorful! Focus seems very sharp, esp. on the back row. Foreground, to me, overwhelms the "busy", on the other hand, the tubes in the back row are catching quite a bit of glare (so I wouldn't suggest just centering on them, but I did consider this). The store's bulk bagging might have been good to avoid, too.

good idea but the pic lacks real interest. It is also slightly off centre.

One of my favorite stores. A little dark.

Now that is a lot of candy. Focus and white balance could be adjusted some to bring out the vibrant colors more. Another idea, would be a reshoot with just the containers in the background in the shot. Something more abstract in nature :-)

this is an interesting scene, but the yellow tint may be 'fixable' with some white balance adjustments in your camera... - setzler

LOTS of candy! I wish the reflections weren't so bright. I definitely think "candy" when I see this!
