Unfortunately, the only night I had available for this shoot turned out to be a damned hellishly windy night.
I wasn't pleased with this shot, or most of the shots I got from this shoot.. but got convinced to enter it last minute in place of another shot I had.. which I think would have done much, much better.
Alas. Not too concerned though. It placed higher than I expected, and my average didn't suffer too much. lol. My beauty shot is on course to finish about the same as this one too. It seems that, even though I have a great camera, and can produce stunning photography on my own... when I'm forced to stick within confines of a challenge, I just can't quite pull out of the "I'm going to be different on purpose MUWAHAHAH you bastards!" mentality that I seem to have. |

Area 51? Looks like a landing for a UFO. This is well balanced and just the right sharpness. |

I'd score higher if the lights were a bit sharper. I don't know if it was the quality of the atmosphere at the time, or if the camera wasn't rock steady, or a lack of focus. The sky, however, is gorgeous! Good luck in the challenge. |

This image is too top heavy, if all the sky was removed it would have so much more impact.
other wise good image |
