Makes me feel the board is floating which is a good thing (as Martha Stewart would say:-) I like the reflections of the black pieces in the back to help outline them against the black background
Maybe a biot more depth of feild to get all the pieces in focus better. Because you decided to have a less dramatic macro (for the floating effect I assume) that made me feel you needed to get more of the back elements in focus but that is hard to do I know. It's not all that improtant..just an idea that poked at me.

| Very well lit, and I love the board floating in space like that. Maybe a reflector at R to bounce a little light back onto the white pieces? Composition is a bit static. |

| The lights and shadows on this shot are very good. I wish it was rotated just a little bit so that the corner was not front and center. Overall a very good shot. |
