Look, an apple! And it's cut in half! Ooooooh.
Experimented with a bunch of things, including pseudo-multiple exposures, illuminating with a laser pointer, and spinning it. Had fun (especially with the spinning!), but ended up with this.
Lighting was bounced incandescent light and "painting" with a flashlight during the 6 s exposure. And, of course, after I shot it, I ate it.
Processing involved rotating, cropping, levels, saturation, USM, sharpening, and adding a border, all via the GIMP. Wish I could have cloned out the sensor dust, though I cropped-out the worst of it.

| Great shot, but I think the grey surface detracts from the picture - maybe a different color would have given it more "POP" |

| Very nice concept here. I like the composition. The water drops on the apple are a nice touch. I'm thinking maybe the dof could be more even, the front side of the apple seems a little off. |
