Processing: shot with a Polarized filter.

This was a challenge right as I first joined or I would have certainly made a comment. I love the silhouette and the distinct clarity that defines the fishing rod, line, and the person. It is great! The lighting is just enough to make it work, yet you still know that it's late evening and he's there for the last catch of the night. The composition is spot on and his placement in the shot is realy good. I love the intensity of the blue in the sky. It would have received a high score from me. ;~D

Thanks for the comments/votes. First time shooting a silhouette and probably a sunset..hmm. I notice him blending into the trees but it didn't click in until I got home to process the shots. Took about 40 shots, this was the best separation I could get. "I just keep learning around here"...its Great...........ace

Great capture with a very lovely and obedient sky to bring out the silhoutte beauty. Bump.

this would have been great if the camera was positioned lower, so that the silouette of the fisherman was not lost amid the treeline. still a nice image, but could have been better

Nice composition and I hope that it is a fish on the line and not caught up on something. Nice capture and good luck. 9

Beautiful sunset. Wish the silhouette of the fisherman was a little more defined and did not blend in with the treeline quite so much. Gorgeous color and detail in the water. Beautiful composition.

Wonderfull depth to the photo, The colors are great and the lighting is beautifull. I do wish however that a little more of the fisheman was visible. The head is lost in the trees on the otherside of the lake The silhouette are is very crisp and well defined. great Job. 9

beautiful shot and great subject! If the mid-upper portion of his body were not lost in the trees this would be perfect. Good silhouette.

Great composition! I really like the subject! And you've done a great job capturing a silhouette. The fishing pole looks a tad bit indistinct. But the clarity and focus on the water look amazing!

oh so close to spectacular - too bad you couldnt get his whole body against the sky or the water. it loses impact where the treeline cuts him in half. the lines are great - the curve of the fish line continues into the curve of his body, the straight vertical reflections of the trees and horizontal waves - the every which way grasses.

This would be just an awesome picture if the subject were more clearly set off from the background. Good interest and tension with the bending of the rod. 8

I don't know if you tried this, but would the picture have been better from a lower angle? Whatever, you've captured a great picture which portrays angling just as I see it.
