 Thought this would be fun to do. Not sure how it will do though.

Cost: $8.00 for the shade.

I hooked the shade to my ceiling and dropped it down infront of my alien bee with an umbrella to defuse the light.

Editing:
Used curves to get the lighting just right and cloned out the strings hanging off the blinds. Converted to b/w.
Added soft focus to tone it down a bit and make it look a bit more sexy. :-)

I'm a little distracted by the halos in a few places but not enough to forget that the tumbnail screamed at me to open it and continues to do so. Striking in its simplicity ... good luck!

I think that this is a great take on the challenge. Very simple and effective composition. However, IMO the post shot editing has killed the beauty that is this image. It appears that you have done some dodging and burning and the results around the shoes and hat just doesn't look right. It has also created a shadowy effect from the legs on the blinds which doesn't make sense when back lighting should be creating the silhoutte. I think the composition is a solid 8 and it definately meets the challenge, however I have scored it a 5 based on the editing and points I have stated. I would have really liked to have seen the original image with some brightness and contrast adjustments only. Good Luck.
