 This was shot in existing light on a heavily overcast, rainy day. I found a patch of trillium growing near the road to Trillium Lake, near Mt. Hood. The shot was a devil to get, I pushed the ISO to 400 and still had to limit my aperture to f/8 when I would have preferred f/11 or even f/16 (no tripod, LOL). Overall, I liked the result, except cutting off the tip of the bottom petal.

Edits:
Curves, hue/sat and gaussian blur (faded). The hue/sat was performed selectively on the yellows and greens, working within the hue/sat tool.

IMO top petal(out of focus) is distracting to me. i like the water and the transparency of the petals, the DOF, and contrast is good. good luck8

I like the translucency of the flower petals, and I love the composition, but the twig/whatever on the right is distracting. Nice colors, beautiful detail.

Nice attempt, but the focus is too soft overall, and would work better if the Trillium was more towards the center of the frame. The foliage in the background is distracting.
