too many gray's and not enough blacks and whites for a B&W, in my opinion. |

Like the wheels and pieces, but the black & white dulls the picture down so that it becomes disinteresting to me. |

Photo is too dark to be appealing to me. The desaturated nature robs the photo of any interest the colors might have given it. |

For me this image needs a lttle more light to give the pieces and the box more lift. |

I like the concept (and I believe you're the only one to use it). In general, I like black & whites, but wonder whether the bright colors of the pieces might not have helped this, IMHO. If you really wanted to stick with black & white, perhaps a larger contrast (more bright whites) would have helped. |

This is an effective composition - but I find you really need black blacks and white whites to make a black and white photograph work. A white background may have done the trick - with a higher contrast to ensure the darkest shadows are black. 5 |
