I don't think black and white is necessary here. When I squint my eyes the child nearly disappears. It seems cold instead of warm and inviting. |

nice shot! The focusing is great on the girl and her tree. I love the way the other trees gradually fade into the background |

Probably my favorite shot this week. Very nice use of Black and White and the shot has a Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe effect on me. The trees look very mystical and the child gives that innocent look that begs childrens fiction. I am guessing who this photographer is. Interesting to see if I am right. |

She is so sweet. There is just enough of her showing, This is a nice take on Hide and Seek. |

What child can resist a peek at the seeker? My eye is pulled directly to the child's face, good use of two/thirds. |

This one was tough for me. I'm not sure I would have gotten the idea without the caption, but maybe. However, when I viewed it full size, the expression on her face was priceless and made the photo fit the catagory. Good job! |

This is a great idea for a photo. I think I would have prefered a if the trees in the background were just a bit more out of focus. My eyes are drawn to the girl but the trees or maybe the bright ground sort of distract me from it. Good use of the rule of thirds. |

Very beautiful. I especially like the way the little girl's hand gives away her excitement. |

I like the expression you've captured here. Seems very cheeky. Not sure I'm totally happy with the vast space on the right. I think I'd prefer the pic in portrait and cropped to show half the tree she is hiding behind. Less DOF would keep the focus of the photo firmly on the girl rather than the background too. |

Adorable little girl! The tree comming up out of the center of the shot is a little distracting IMO. |

Just good, great black and white. More crop on the left would of been good to pull her forward. Nice work. |

Very cute shot, but I think more DOF is needed to draw out the subject. |

Would have been a tad better, imho, if this were taken level. Not shooting down. |

This is a really nice photo.. I like the look on the girl's face :) I personally believe that a vertical crop on this shot would bring the hiding girl in as a larger part of the image... it's just personal preference though... good job! |
