Hello from the Critique Club!!!
Composition:
WOW! This picture reaches out and grabs you, you want to look at it because there is so much to see and none of it is busy. The lines of the mountain raise your eyes to the beautiful blue sky and then it brings them back down to the interesting foreground. Your photo has met the challenge well.
Background/ Foreground
The sky is sharp and the colors are bright and crisp. The foreground has just enough detail to hold your interest without taking away from the beautiful rock peak.
Camera Work:
As far as the technical aspect of the picture the shot has great focus and DOF.
Post-Processing:
I can not comment on your post-processing because you did not include it in the comment field. Including this information helps us see what you have done, and can help teach other users how to use post processing to improve their pictures.
My Opinion:
This photo should have placed higher but with every challenge you never know how the votes will stack.
After reading the comments made by the members you know that your photograph has made an impact on them as it did on me.

| Lots of triangles in the rocks too ... and even a face on the top rock! Reminds me of Joshua tree. Colors are great, btw. |

| I like the rich colors and the vibrant sky, I wish there was more of the left side of the "triangle " visible |

| How did you get the pic so sharp? I've been stuggling with this. The only comment I have is that it's so sharp it almost seems cut out and stuck on the sky background. Great picture though, especially like the foreground. |

Really like the color. The focus looks a lilttle off, but that could just be my monitor or my eyes, so I'm not counting that agianst you. ;)
The peak looks 3D with the way the sky looks behind it. |
